Product Description : From the ManufacturerThis Shock Absorbing Lanyard is designed to be used in environments where exposure to heat, chemicals and sharp edges is a concern. Features single-leg construction and utilizes 1-1/4-inch Kevlar webbing and our SoftPack shock-absorber with a Nomex cover. The Kevlar webbing has a tensile strength of 10,000 pounds. Also features forged double-locking Offset snap hook at the attachment end and a #18 rebar hook at the anchorage end. This lanyard is flame resistant and has a char temperature of 800-900 degrees, and is five times stronger than steel. WeldTech Shock Absorbing Lanyards are constructed using heavy-duty Kevlar and Nomex webbings, making them ideal for use in the most harsh and high-risk environments. Both materials are highly resistant to extreme heat, cuts and abrasion, which makes WeldTech the best choice when extreme conditions are just another day at the office. The Shock Absorbing Lanyard is the active component of a Personal Fall Arrest System. Shock Absorbing Lanyards are part of a category of goods referred to as Connecting Devices, which are intended to connect the back D-ring of you Full Body Harness to the anchorage at your work position.
